- Through the parish finance council, which is a consultative body, the Christian faithful “aid the pastor in the administration of the parish goods with due regard for the prescription of can. 532 (dealing with the administration goods.)
- Besides the usual maintenance of buildings, grounds, and other materiality’s, the administration of the parish goods includes the implementation of a responsible stewardship program, long-range financial planning, the preparation and monitoring of an overall parish budget, and the preparation of an annual financial filled as soon as possible through appointment by the pastor. The names of the members of the parish finance council should be made know to all the parishioners. The parish finance council may meet monthly but should meet at lest every third month. Discussion at the meetings should be conducted in a manner marked by Christian courtesy, love and respect. Voting should take place (if it is required or thought wise) only after consensus has been reached on a given issue.
